All Committee Chairpersons report to the Fiesta Hispano Americana Chairman.
Fiesta Chairman: Responsible for providing guidance & supervision to all committee chairpersons to ensure compliance with organizational by-laws and ensure committee duties are fulfilled.
Screening Committee: Responsible for ensuring all applicants are fully qualified to enter the Fiesta Hispano Americana pageants.
Parade Committee: Soliciting entrants to the Fiesta Hispano Americana's annual parade. Coordinates with respective city officials on the parade route for local parades. Ensure all parade participants are properly lined-up for local parade. Ensuring Fiesta Hispano Americana float is available at all participating events/functions. Maintain Fiesta Hispano Americana's float to ensure safety of personnel, which are required to ride on the floats during events. Timely distribution of Parade Schedule to all winners/runners-up in the Fiesta Hispano Americana's pageants. Notifying all participants one week prior to event occurring as a reminder.
Decorating Committee: Coordinating all decorations in the annual Fiesta Ball. Provide written guidance to the entrants on acceptable table decorations at the Fiesta Ball. Maintain strict compliance with fire code requirements of any facility where the Fiesta Ball or any fundraising event is being held. Decorate VIP table for corporate sponsors and special quests of the Fiesta Hispano Americana at its Fiesta Ball and/or special events.
Entertainment Committee: Coordinating live entertainment (band/dj) at the annual Fiesta Ball and special events. Facilitate the payment of said entertainment upon compliance of signed contract. Coordinate security requirements as required.
Queen Contestants' Directors: Responsible for assisting pageant contestants in the preparation of their speech. Advise and correct contestants accordingly to ensure compliance with the Fiesta Hispano Americna's Code of Ethics. Assist contestants in their costume selection. Submit contestants' appraisals to the president of Fiesta Hispano Americana during the screening of all contestants to ensure contestant is qualified. Score each contestant in the areas of Attitude, Dependability, and Preparedness.
Little Miss & Little Mr Contestants Directors: Coordinates the "Little Miss & Little Mr." programs. Establishes written guidelines in fundrasing activities approved by the Fiesta Hispano Americana organization. Keep all participates/parents informed of required meetings. Ensure minor children are not active participants in fundraisers invollving the sale of liquor or related alcholic beverages.
Ticket Sales Committee: Distribution, collection, and accountability of all tickets issued to each contestant. Coordinate door attendants at all Fiesta Balls and any special event. Deposit all monies in a prompt manner. Maintain strict confidentialty on ticket sales to ensure pageant is not compromised.
Judges Committee: Retains judges to appear on schedule for both the Fiesta Ball and the Fiesta Street Festival. Five judges are needed for both events with two alternates assigned to each event.
Scholarship Committee: Review and evaluate all scholarship applications. Ensure that all applicants meet the required qualifications. Committee will select alternate scholarship winners.
Advertising/Public Affairs Committee: Submission of news related articles to the appropriate news agency to advertise and promote the Fiesta Hispano Americana organization. Ensuring sponsors of the Fiesta Hispano Americana are appropriately recoginized for their sponsorship. Solicit new sponsors to contribute towards the growth of the Fiesta Hispano Americana.
Membership Committee: Recruitment of new members. Coordinate yearly recruitment drives and recognize outstanding members of the month/year at scheduled Fiesta Hispano Americana meetings.
Booth Sales Committee: Responsible for coordinating Food & Craft booths to individuals, organizations, & businesses particating in the Fiesta Street Festival as a vendor. Solicit local business to particapte in the Fiesta Street Festival with a food or craft booth. Ensure that vendors use only their allowed assigned space. Ensures that vendors follow all rules set forth by the Fiesta Hispano Americana. Collect booth rental fees.
